SUMMARY: The Camdens are a conservative Christian family living in California, where their morals are constantly being challenged. Their minister father and stay-at-home mother try to deal with the drama of having seven children, ranging from toddlers to adults, each with families of their own.

STARS: Stephen Collins (Rev. Eric Camden), Catherine Hicks (Annie Camden), Barry Watson (Matt Camden), Jessica Biel (Mary Camden), Beverly Mitchell (Lucy Camden), David Gallagher (Simon Camden), Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie Camden), Lorenzo Brino and Nikolas Brino (Sam and David Camden).

Ruthie: You’re the worst babysitter I ever had.
Simon: That’s not what you said two hours ago.
Ruthie: Yeah, well that was before you made me wear the staircase.

Annie: Teenagers.
Eric: Yeah, if you don’t like their mood, wait 10 minutes.

Ruthie: Who ratted on me?
Annie: Your brothers and sisters, the police, three neighbors, and the mailman.
Ruthie: That’s what I figured

Eric: So, your sister shoved a guy’s head into a toilet?
Matt: Yup. Up to the collar. You would have been proud.

-The series has stayed in its original Monday 8/7c time slot on the WB throughout its entire 10 year run without ever moving to another night or time, which is very rare for a network television series.

-In real life Beverley Mitchell is older than her co-star Jessica Biel, but on the show Jessica Biel’s character, Mary, is the older sister.

-The exterior shots of the Camden home belong to a real house that is located in Altadena, California. The house is very recognizable from movies such as The Baby-Sitters Club (1995), How Stella Got Her Groove Back (1998), Risky Business (1983), and Can’t Hardly Wait (1998).
